Our Leadership Team

Our church leadership team is a group of people  who are collectively responsible for the spiritual welfare of the congregation, managing church operations, and ensuring good organisational health of the church. Our team includes a rector and lay ministers who bring diverse skills and perspectives to their roles. Our dedicated core leadership team are committed to teaching the word of God and maintaining good values within the local community. We are supported by a diverse mix of volunteers who are key to the day-to-day running of the church, services and social groups.

Lay Ministers

  • Becky Morrey - Youth and Lay Minister : I have been a member of St Pauls nearly all my life. I have worked as the Youth Minister here since 2015 and in 2022 became a Licenced Lay Minister.  I love working with young people, the nerf battles, the fun, all the random questions, but mostly seeing them come to know Jesus and finding their place within his church.
  • Joy Webber - Lay Minister: I'm a crafter, crime books and programme fan and a Jesus loving person. I've attended St Paul's since age 9 years and consider it my extended family.
  • Lisa Wakefield - Lay Minister: After 20 years of worshipping in a place that has always made me feel loved and safe, I allowed myself to come undone to God’s calling!  That is to love and serve, in every way and anyway! This is all with my wonderful family around me.  How fortunate and thankful I am!
  • Julia Childerhouse - Lay Minister: I've been at St Pauls for about 8 years now. I was licensed as a Lay Minister in 2019, and I enjoy the opportunity to lead and preach at services, but most of all I love getting to know people (over a coffee preferably!) Outside of church life I am also a Scout leader, and I enjoy walking and camping with the family.
  • Kadie Needham - Lay Minister: I have been at St Paul's for almost 30 years from when my children were baptised as babies and have been a Licensed Lay Minister in the Greenways Benefice churches for almost 20 of them. Recently retired, I am enjoying a more balanced life, particularly enjoying having more time for walking, cycling, and chilling out with family and friends.
  • Nick Childerhouse - Lay Minister: I co-ordinate the small groups (house groups) that meet regularly, and I help with the Sunday evening youth work. I'm married to Julia also a lay minister here. Outside of church and work I enjoy a range of activities like cycling, hiking, climbing and drinking coffee with my teenage children.
